  • Professionalism Matters | JENAY HICKS MS , LPC, NCC
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am a member of Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling and Academic Professional Honor Society), the American Counseling Association, the Coalition for Physician Wellbeing, and the Association for Hospital Medical Association. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (GA LPC014640) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). As a licensed clinical mental health therapist and well-being strategist, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel valued, understood, and empowered. My journey actually started at Morehouse School of Medicine, where I served as the Associate Director of Graduate Medical Education. It was there that I realized how important it is to advocate for reducing stigma around mental health and improving how we perceive and accept it. After that, I took on the role of Associate Director of Counseling Services and Resident Well-Being, and I learned a great deal about the unique challenges medical professionals face. From there, I moved to HelloHealth, a holistic medical concierge practice, and now I’m thrilled to run my own private practice. One of my core beliefs is that emotional intelligence is key to thriving relationships and workplace cultures. Through my "Just Breathe" curriculum, I help clients build resilience while also nurturing a growth-focused mindset. I love empowering individuals to manage stress and discover their inner strengths. I truly believe that when leaders prioritize wellness, it creates a ripple effect that cultivates amazing workplace cultures. That’s why I’m committed to fostering psychological safety within organizations—so everyone can bring their best selves to work and feel like they belong. I invite you to join me in my workshops! Together, we’ll embrace the "Just Breathe" philosophy and dive into best practices to create nurturing spaces at work. Let’s make well-being a priority so we can all support one another and grow together. I can’t wait to connect with you!
