SUPPORTING YOUR JOURNEY

Jenay

Meet  Jenay

Jenay Hicks, MS , LPC, NCC

As a compassionate therapist and well-being strategist, I
am dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations
to navigate emotional challenges with clarity and resilience.
My approach is rooted in the belief that every person has the
capacity for self-actualization—a journey toward reaching one’s
full potential. By utilizing evidence-based techniques, such as
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients articulate their
“why,” allowing them to confront anxiety, grief, and uncertainty
with confidence.

With experience as the Associate Director of Graduate Medical
Education at Morehouse School of Medicine and as a leader in
counseling services and resident well-being, I understand the
critical mental health needs of high-performers and the systemic
issues that lead to burnout. I am committed to fostering cultures
of care within organizations, emphasizing communication and
relationship-building as key elements for sustainable wellness.
Now, through my thriving private practice, I offer individual and
group therapy, executive coaching, and wellness workshops, all
aimed at creating compassionate environments where individuals
feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive. My mission is to
support your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Meet  Kanika

Kanika Bell, Ph.D.

I am a co-founder of addJOY, LLC. I am a licensed psychologist
specializing in clinical and forensic psychology and an associate
professor at Clark Atlanta University. I received my undergraduate
degree in psychology from Spelman College and masters and
doctoral degrees from Auburn University. I divide my professional
time between all facets of clinical psychology including individual,
couples and group therapy, clinical assessments and psychological
evaluations, scholarly research, and consulting. I am the co-owner
of A.T.L. Psychotherapy and Consulting Services, LLC in Atlanta, GA,
and my current clinical interests involve children, adults, and families
affected by the legal system, adults coping with occupational stress,
relationship counseling, and issues that impact women of color
specifically.

During the writing of a volume entitled Black Women’s Mental
Health: Balancing Strength and Vulnerability, I realized that in the
midst of trying to survive...folks forgot to thrive. Joy for me means
living balanced and optimally, thus I began to dedicate my clinical,
research and academic interests to the use of joy as a therapeutic
tool. Whether I am treating individual clients, doing therapy with
couples, coaching executives on self-care and diversity issues, or
appearing on television discussing mental health, I bring humor and
liveliness to every environment. I am a professional Peace Provider
and Laughter Liaison.

Ayanna Abrams, Ph.D.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia. I have

LLC (ABH).

ABH provides expert and empathic mental health treatment,

seek treatment with me to help them find solutions to repeated
problems or patterns, build self-esteem and make better decisions
in their relationships. I provide a safe and inviting environment to
be your most honest self; to reconnect with a more empowered
narrative to your life story, and to use this new narrative to cope
with difficulties from your past and in your present with greater
insight, intention and control.
